The proposed manufacturing capacity is 12,000 tons per annum. Aluminum Alloy Ingots are consumed in Automobile sector to a great extent for manufacturing pressure die casting components namely:

Alloy wheels, Cylinder Block, Cylinder Head, Cylinder Head Cover, Intake Manifold, Axle Hosing, Gear Box Hosing etc.

Requirement of Alloy Ingots is growing manifold as India is turning out to be a manufacturing hub & out-sourcing centre for automobiles and auto components for the whole world.

IAIL is in a position to honor its commitment to its customers with reference to high quality of product, timely delivery and customer satisfaction. Based on the concept of total quality management, we are following strict quality norms at every stage of manufacturing process namely :

• Raw material inspection
• Segregation and sorting of scrap
• Melting and casting
• Testing and analysis, and finally,
• Packing.

Every lot is checked for chemical composition and also grain structure, gas content and other physical properties. The plant and equipments available for the above manufacturing facility, is as under:

• Rotary Furnaces coupled with Rotary Caster,
• Tilting Furnaces coupled with Conveyorised Caster,
• Universal Testing machine for checking the tensile strength
• Spectrometer for instant analysis of the chemical composition
• Fork Lift for handling of scrap and finished ingots.
• Quality & Testing Equipments to meet quality standards at each level of production.

In-process inspection is carried out as per following method:

• Proper segregation and sorting out of raw material,
• Proper temperature control,
• Proper de-gassing and fluxing,
• Proper testing of chemical components,
• Proper grain refinement, if required,
• Micro-structure/grain structure test,
• Pourcity test.
